Diane specialised in Cinematography and Documentary at Bournemouth Arts University and graduated with a Film Production degree in 2016. Shortly after university, she applied her newly acquired skills to a campaign close to her heart. The Mauritian government announced the cull of the Mauritius Flying Fox, a species of bats that is endangered and endemic to the island. She pitched and successfully sourced funding from sponsors, charities, and a crowdfunding campaign. She directed a short documentary in collaboration with The Mauritian Wildlife Foundation. They Call Me Pest premiered and opened the National Arts Festival in Mauritius in December 2017, and footage from the documentary then went on to be sold to the BBC Travel show.
Diane simultaneously started producing the Aldeburgh Documentary Festival where she would come back 3 years in a row, every year exponentially bringing in more profit and securing high profile filmmakers and guest speakers. She then went on to work as a Researcher and Camera Assistant for Parable Works where she would work on documentaries for Channel 4, Red Bull and Glamour Magazine.
In 2022 she went fully freelance as a photographer & cinematographer specialising in capturing the world of interiors working for magazines such as House & Garden, Country Living and an array of prestigious interior designers.
And yes, Diane wrote this all in the third person.
